Diagram.RS is designed with privacy in mind. Your diagrams are rendered entirely in your browser and are never sent to our servers. This policy explains the limited data we do collect.
2. Data We Collect
We collect standard server access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, page visited, timestamp) when you load pages from our servers. These logs are used solely for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic analysis.
3. Diagram Content
Diagram code you write is processed locally in your browser using Mermaid.js. It is not transmitted to or stored on our servers at any point.
4. Cookies
We use a single cookie to remember your preferred color theme (light or dark mode) across visits. No tracking or advertising cookies are set.
5. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate page traffic (e.g. number of visitors, popular pages). No individual user profiles are built, and no data is sold to third parties.
6. Third-Party Services
Diagram rendering relies on Mermaid.js, loaded as part of our application bundle. We do not embed third-party advertising scripts or social tracking pixels.
7. Data Retention
Server access logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes and are then deleted. We do not maintain any database of user activity.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not collect personal data beyond standard server logs, we are generally unable to identify individual users. If you have a privacy concern, please contact us via the Contact page.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time by posting a revised version on this page. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
